Darkest dungeon shambler's altar10/24/2023 ![]() ![]() I've gotten a max of around 22.5k on a short level 1 dungeon run in the dark when I didn't bring any heirlooms back (that includes a Collector kill and secret room I think? Definitely the secret room though) 7 torches and very little food will still net you around 10k-12k gold a short run easy if you need money and aren't racing to win the game before Week X. I like using a Bloodthirst Ring (or Fasting Seal if you're that lucky) to make less of your party eat. They can be resisted whilst the latter mentions cannot. So just one of many ways to do things, but every mission you do just for funds and/or heirlooms, you can bring the Antiquarian and a low level team into a short level 1 dungeon (there should always be ONE at least on the mission select?) Have the Antiquarian loot everything to get the extra antiques and fight everything you can. Shuffles from the giant and Shuffling Horror/Shambler are entirely different effects from Ambush/Surprise. Like the full-reverse where they go from 1-2-3-4 to 4-3-2-1, or where just 1 and 4 swap, etc. Sometimes though it seems like there are several pre-set shuffles. That's actually what started this thought in my head. I've never noticed this on a surprise, but I'm sure I've seen it on Confusion Spores at least once, where noboby got shuffled but they didn't doge or show any "resist" prompts. If so, then you should have about a 1/4*3*2 = 1/24 chance of not getting shuffled at all. That's basically my question: *IS* there a 0% chance of your team being put in the correct place? I mean, does it LITERALLY shuffle your people where there is a 1/4 chance of your Rank-1 person being put in rank 1, and then if so a 1/3 chance of your Rank-2 person being put in rank 2, and if so a 1/2 chance of your Rank-3 person being put in rank 3? Better than the 0% chance of keeping everyone in the right place, however. Originally posted by UnluckyDuckie:It's not a guarantee to work as sometimes only half the team will shuffle. ![]()
